Macie at 5 months

Macie Ann
5 months
13 pounds 13 ounces: 40%
24 3/4 inches: 50%
Head 41.5cm: 50%

Man I can't believe how fast the time with this sweetie is flying by! We love having her in our family! Some things about Macie at 5 months:
-She has started eating "real" food. And boy does she love it. You can't get it in her mouth fast enough and she snaps at it to get it even faster.
-She still thinks Emery is the funniest girl around. She just watches her all day long.
-She is very ticklish on her sides around her rib cage.
-She rubs her eyes whenever she starts to get tired. Just like mommy, and Emery.
-Everything she can get her hands on got straight into her mouth.
-She rolls constantly back and forth and all around the room. She gets where ever she wants to go by rolling and scooting. And she can get pretty far.
-Her hair is still dark and curly. The curl has loosened up a little bit, but it's still pretty curly.
-She is practicing sitting up by herself. She can only make it a few seconds before she falls forward though.
-Loves to lay on her back and play with her feet.
-Loves to cuddle and be tickled (softly).
-She loves to lay in Emery's bed with her and listen to her read stories.
-Size 2 diapers and size 3-6 month clothes.
-She is getting really excited for Santa to visit on her first Christmas!

Oh Christmas Tree (Round 4)

I can't believe this is Jake and I's 4th Christmas together! That has flown by. This is Emery's 3rd Christmas too. I can't believe it. And finally broke down and just went and bought an artificial tree. We have always done real ones, and this year we were going to go cut down our own. But time wouldn't allow. But I'm not gonna lie, setting up a pre-lit tree and plugging it in and wallah. Done. Was pretty dang nice. Emery was loads of help, getting it out of the box, helping "unsmoosh" all the branches. We had Elf playing and we were ready!

Until we got it all set up and this one circle of branches wouldn't light! Are you kidding! It was brand new! Soooo.....we boxed it back up and had to wait until the next day to take it back and hope they had another one to exchange it for. Luckily they did!

So round 2 of setting it up.

All the lights work!

Emery had a blast putting all the ornaments on the tree. She had a hard time getting them to stay though.

But when she did, she was very proud.

Ta-Da! It turned out really pretty. I have switched most of my decor from the traditional red and green, to gold, white, silver, and blues. I love it. I need to go get more ornaments after Christmas though when they go on sale.

Macie's new favorite spot to scoot is right under the tree and look at the lights. Where ever in the living room I put her, she ends up under the tree. Another reason I'm kind of glad we don't have a real one. It would probably get pulled down or something. I do need a pine candle though. I love that smell.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Little slow getting this up...I had big plans to do it on Thanksgiving! Didn't happen....Oh well. I didn't go too overboard with pictures this year. But we did have a perfect Thanksgiving of food, shooting, hunting, football, and counting our blessings. And we have oh so much to be grateful for in our family this year. But I would say our biggest blessing this year is that girl right there. I could just eat her up. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas Stockings

Jake and I have never gotten matching stockings. I've never been able to find any I love, especially for the price they want! (Usually around $30 each!) The other problem I had was I am going to need to be able to get matching ones down the road when we need more. So after all of that I decided to just make our own, and I'm in love with how they turned out! They are so cute. I even bought extra fabric so we'll always have matching ones!

Some of my photography

As family picture season (yes there is a season...) comes to a close, I thought I would share a few pictures from some of the families I had the opportunity of shooting this fall! These guys are all awesome. I had so much fun!

Exersaucin'

This sweet babe loves this exersaucer just as much as her older sister did. It was a very good investment!

She all smiles and laughs the whole time ;)

And to the degree that that girl is happy, this girl is a stinker!! Jake couldn't find his chapstick this morning when he left for work....Not long there after I left the room for a few minutes to take care of Macie, and came back to this...
Let's zoom in on that a little...

Yum the whole screen. It goes much farther up than you can even see.
Little stink.
Oh and of course this Kodak moment happened long before a brush was ever taken to that hair..yikes!

Oh I love these girls. Naughtiness and all.
