Jake's 4th annual Half Marathon

Well today Jake ran his 4th Half Marathon. He'd like it to like his 10th...but so far he's just been doing the Morgan one every year. But this coming year he really wants to run a few more. But regardless he really likes running this one. It is a hard one, it's definitely not flat at all. So it's a challenge. He has been training a lot for it and really wanted to beat his previous years times. And he definitely did. He beat his fastest time that he has ran it by about 5 minutes! His time this time was 1:35:32. With a 7:13/mile pace. Pretty impressive. After the race I had about 5 people come up to me who had either ran or been working at aide stations come tell me, Man Jake was running so fast! He killed that race. He did really good this year. Pays to train I guess ;) haha

My dad just opened a campground here in Morgan this weekend and has been working and working to get it up and running and stuff. So after the race Jake went over and helped him prune trees and haul branches and stuff. Emery even helped haul branches.

Then later tonight there was a parade. Macie actually got the hang of it this time and had a blast picking up candy and putting it in Emery's bag. She has gotten to be such a ham lately.

My dad in the parade for the County Council.

Macie playing peek-a-boo. Her favorite game.

After the parade there was dinner and a concert in the park. So we ate, listened the music, and the kids ran around throwing their frisbee's that they got at the parade. Until it was getting dark and past bedtimes. Then we headed home and just got them laid down for the night.
Whew. What a day. Emery said when we got in the car to come home "It was a fun day!" So I guess it was a success.
I love this small town.

Pioneer Day

Yesterday was Pioneer Day and Jake had the day off (along with everyone else...) My grandma and grandpa came up to visit, along with my Uncle who is here visiting from Panama right now. We had a BBQ for lunch and then decided to go on a 4 wheeler ride up Hardscrabble. I mostly just wanted an activity that would put me into labor....bumpy 4 wheelers, high elevations, I thought for sure it would do the trick. But alas I am still here...and pregnant. Ahhh I hope he comes SOON!
Anyway.
Once we had gotten up there a ways my dad decided, Hey let's go on a hike! Yeah I about beat him. It wasn't a walk down a trail hike either, it was steep, luckily it was short though. We hiked up to a spring, took a bunch of pictures and hung out a little bit, and came back down and finished our ride.

'
After our ride we came back home and had another BBQ, this one with chicken and ribs, the first was hamburgers. Once it was dark we lit some fireworks to celebrate our Pioneer heritage!

This picture has nothing to do with Pioneer Day but I didn't have anywhere else to put it. Last Thursday, Jake, Me, my parents, Shayli, Colton, and Haley went to the Steve Miller Band and Journey concert. We had so much fun! Journey is amazing. I don't know much about the Steve Miller Band, Jake knew a lot of their songs, and so did my mom. I ended up knowing more than I thought I would. But Journey is the real reason we were there. We had so much fun, sitting outside (cooking in the 100 degree heat....), watching drunk people make fools of themselves (always a favorite activity at concerts), and singing along with Journey.

Now onto having this baby! I am really hoping for this weekend...or tonight...but not really counting on it. I'm super duper ready. It is HOT and I am just cooking in this heat being pregnant. My sciatica has gotten really bad lately which makes every day an adventure. It's the worst in the late afternoons and evenings. Usually by the time Jake gets home from work is when I can no longer walk. This baby is just sitting in a terrible position on that nerve. Also just last Sunday I had an interesting thing happen. Apparently with my 2 pregnancies being so close together my stomach muscles and ligaments didn't have enough time to heal fully, so a ligament in my stomach pulled. It hurt something terrible for a few days. It's a lot better now, to where it doesn't hurt all the time anymore. Just if anyone touches my stomach. Other than that it's just the normal ailments of being 39 weeks pregnant that everyone experiences. Mostly I'm just tired. I'm really really ready to be tired from taking care of a newborn and 2 toddlers, instead of tired from being hot and pregnant and taking care of 2 toddlers. So send good baby vibes this way. We are SO ready to meet this little guy and have him in our arms! I cannot wait! We feel so incredibly lucky to have these 3 little ones in our lives, and to be able to have them so close in age. It is going to be absolute craziness for a while, but I am really looking forward to it. They will all grow up being each other's playmates so hopefully they are friends! Hopefully my next post is introducing our little man!

Macie's Real Birthday

This post is way overdue! I meant to get it posted before her birthday party even but time just wouldn't have it. But with this baby coming any day now (tonight...?? Maybe?? I wish.) I knew I needed to get it up or it may never happen. We actually did celebrate Macie's birthday on her actual birthday, we just did the party with everyone, another day. Jake took the day off work, which was awesome, and we decided to go swimming! We knew our little fish babies would not protest that idea. They had so much fun swimming and swimming and swimming. We swam for about 3 hours before we finally decided to pack up. We wanted to out to lunch for her birthday too and we were starving! Plus the kids were getting exhausted and we wanted them to be decent at the restaurant.

We decided to go to Chili's for lunch. And since we were at Chili's and it was Macie's birthday, we of course had to get probably my favorite restaurant dessert...the chocolate molten cake....mmmmm. Okay we may or may not get it even if it isn't someone's birthday, it's too good to not. Macie was content with her celery...silly kid. Although she did dip it in the ice cream a few times! She was really into the waiters and waitresses that came and sang her Happy Birthday though. She thought that was pretty neat.
After lunch we went home and let these girls get a little bit of a nap at least. Then we headed up to my mom and dad's for a birthday dinner. After dinner Emery as always, begged papa to take her on a 4 wheeling ride. So we all decided to go. We went up on Richville Range, I ended up setting down my camera last minute and not taking it, which I was pretty bummed about, but it's hard to hold onto while holding Macie, and let's face it, there is very little lap room on me these days. But it is gorgeous up there! I love going on rid
