Day 1 San Diego

We made it! Wahoo we were soooo ready for this vacation (and the sunshine accompanied with it) for so long, we have been so excited. We got here and went straight to the beach.

Harley loved it. He kept chasing the seagulls and the water and throwing sand and anything else he could find to do.

Macie keeping an eye out for her baby brother. He was eyeing these kids and Macie went to stand guard.

We had to drag these kids off the beach to go back to the hotel. We were starving! We only succeeded with promises of going swimming at the hotel as soon as we were done eating. Also we were soaked and all of our stuff was soaked after a high tide came in and washed all of of stuff sitting up on the beach away. Including our shoes! Luckily Jake was gone with Macie, and I grabbed Harley before he could get washed away, Emery was standing by our stuff and was able to save her and Macie's shoes. One of mine, one of Jakes, and our bag of stuff got washed away, but once the water went back down were were able to find it all down farther on the beach. I am really glad. Tomorrow morning we hit Sea World, can't wait!

New Years

Somehow I missed blogging New Years...Not sure how, but I did. So here are our pictures from the Kilmer Christmas Party over New Years!

Harley got a stick horse and cowboy hat from his cousin Ashley, he loves it! But he won't ride it. He pushes it around like a vacuum, haha.

Emery got a talking Olaf that goes perfectly with her Anna, and Emery got a Doddle Bear from her cousin Kylie. All big hits!

The traditional cousin picture on Grandma's stairs. Only missing 2 cousins in this one. And then an evening playing Pie Face.

There was also a lot of time playing in the snow! Which as you can see was a big hit.

Emery's first Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

Emery and Jake got to go to their first Daddy Daughter Dance last night. Emery was so excited all day that she got to go on a date! They had a lot of fun. She got a little wristlet to wear, got a carnation at the dance, and Ice Cream Sundae's. She danced her little heart out. Jake videoed her a few times and it is pretty cute. She such a cutie pie.

Macie had to get in on the picture taking. She was pretty sad Emery was leaving her. She even tried to stay up and wait for her, but she fell asleep reading books in the bed minutes before she got home.

Getting her flower from Dad. I love her dainty little post with her feet.

Stir Crazy

Last week we were going so stir crazy. (We still are...) It is so cold, (it gets to 35 degrees and we get so excited we think it is summer) and we still have so much snow. My parents and Colton and Haley were going to St. George because my dad had conference for school. So at 4:00 on Thursday night I decided that we were going to go too. We hopped in the car and headed down. And I am so glad that we did, it was just what we needed!

First off we just hiked and hiked and hiked. All around Pioneer Park, Harley was unstoppable. Someone HAD to be holding his hand at all times because he never slowed down, and he would have just walked off a cliff if we didn't hold onto him.

Macie was also unstoppable. She climbed every mountain, hill, and rock. With little to no help. My dad or Jake just hiked and climbed behind her. She was in heaven. Whenever she got to the top of the hill she would yell "I'm king of the Jungle!" It was so funny!

Macie and Papa at the top of the hill they climbed. She seriously was cracking us up with how good she was. This was another king of the jungle moment.

Emery had a blast climbing, but was also completely content in the dirt.

Another highlight of the trip, the park. We haven't seen one of these things in months! We played on the playground, the swings, volleyball, soccer, and enjoyed the sunlight!

We also went to Snow Canyon and hiked through the Lava Tubes. We didn't take the kids in the first one, Jake and everyone went except for my mom and I, we stayed up with the kids. It was super steep and the people that came out right before us said it was a little too rough for kids. So they played in the dirt again, which they love.

The second one we took them in. Took that picture of Colton as he was getting ready to climb down in. We were already down. I helped Macie, Haley took down Emery, and Jake took Harley. On the right is Macie and Emery inside the tube.

Aside from hiking and hiking, and more outside hiking time. We ate at amazing restaurants, like we always do down there, and lots of swimming, and some shopping too (a must in St. George too.) We didn't spend more than 10 minutes in the hotel unless we were sleeping. (at night) the kids didn't even nap. They were so tired by the time we got home! It was exactly we needed! We might be able to make the 2 weeks until our California getaway!

Catching up on these cute little people.

Field Trip to the the Firestation with Emery's preschool class.

Harley's latest haircut. He is just so dang handsome.

Emery has recently become obsessed with my camera. So we are frequently having to pose for her.

Fog from our front porch a few weeks ago.

Left: another picture by Emery. And right...I have no idea...haha weird kids.

Left: Harley's favorite Christmas present from his cousin Ashley. He just pushes the horse instead of riding it. Right: Harley's new shoes that I love so much.

Brownies one night after dinner.

January went by super fast, but we are a little stir crazy so I'm kind of okay with that. We have a few feet of snow and it going to be a long long while before we see the green grass again. But our Disneyland vacation is coming up in 3 short weeks and I can hardly wait!! YAY!
