St. George Trip

Jake had to go work at the Parade of Homes in St. George all week last week, so OF COURSE we went. We LOVE St. George. Plus the forecast was for 75+ degree temps. Which I will never turn down in February. The first thing we always do when we get to a hotel is jump of the beds of course! After a 5 hour car ride they were all more than willing!

Jake had to spend most of his days at the house, but the rest of us played and played and played! We spent many hours here at the city center playing in this stream. Emery was in heaven.

Harley was just happy playing with his toes and lounging in the grass.

Jake was able to leave for a few hours during the days to have lunch so we hit up parks and had picnics.

One of the evenings after Jake was down we went up to Pioneer Park and hiked around on the red rock.

Macie just liked to play in the dirt.

After we went hiking we went and got some frozen custard from our very favorite place, Nielsen's. Then we went to eat it at the temple. I love this temple. The gorgeous pure white is perfect.

When we weren't playing in the water at the city center we were swimming in our pool at the hotel. This little fish made instant friends wherever we were.

Macie did not like the water. She has major issues with her diaper being dirty. The minute she has a dirty diaper she comes and asks for me to change her. So whenever she would get int he water with her swim diaper on, and it would get wet, she couldn't stand it and would beg to have it changed...so she basically just sat on the chair when we went to the pool. Which she didn't mind. She didn't want in the water. I liked that I didn't have to worry about her! Harley loved the water. He is just a little fish like Emery.
We had so much fun, and I didn't even get pictures of half of what we did. We did a lot of shopping, a St. George must, Jake and I also went to a bunch of the Parade of Homes houses. They are incredible. On our last night there, Harley started coughing and wheezing. I knew he was starting to get sick and needed a breathing treatment, but we didn't have anything with us. He progressively got worse and worse, through the night, and then into the morning. He was wheezing and wouldn't eat, and was basically up all night just crying. Which is extremely out of character for him. He is always happy, and sleeps through the whole night when he is feeling good. So I knew he felt terrible. We started making our way home and he kept crying in the car, where normally he falls asleep instantly, and he still wouldn't eat. We went the back way home so that we could stop and see my grandma and Uncle Mike in Manti, but once we hit Richfield either my mom's intuition or nurse's intuition, or more likely a combination of mother's intuition and nurse's knowledge was really bothering me. By this time it had been about 20 hours since I had been able to get Harley to eat and I was really worried. I decided we needed to stop and take him to the ER. It was a good thing I did. His oxygen saturations were at 86 when we got there. So they gave him a breathing treatment, nothing changed. So they gave him another one...that one actually worked. Then a dose of steroids, and just like that he got his appetite back. I got him to eat a little, and then he threw it all up. But luckily he at a little more even after that. The doctor really wanted to admit him to the hospital for more observation but since we were just passing through and so far from home they said we could go as long we watched him closely and took him in up here if we needed to. Brochiolitis is his official diagnosis, again...this is the 3rd time this winter. I feel so bad for this poor guy. He is my first kid to actually get sick and it has been a rough winter! I am ready for it to be over! He is doing MUCH better now, some coughing, still needs occasional treatments, but he is doing good.
We came back to bummer weather for a few days, some snow and cold. But with the crazy nice winter we have had, we cannot complain at all. St. George even got about 4 inches of snow 2 days later. So I was glad we went when we did.
I am already looking forward to our next vacation somewhere...it's not planned, but I sure want it to be!

Dinosaur Park

It has been a crazy winter here. We have been having March and April weather here the past few weeks. Most January's we don't even get above freezing so we aren't quite sure what to think! But it has been so nice we have been outside a lot. This past Saturday it was the 60s...so we took full advantage of the nice weather and went to the dinosaur park. The girls had a lot of fun, I think Jake may have had the most fun though ;)

It was so funny when we walked up to this dinosaur on the left Emery says, "Look he's wearing a hat!" We laughed pretty hard.

She's showing us how the bear in the background is "roaring"

After we walked around to all of the dinosaurs we went and played on the playground. It is pretty neat, they have dinosaurs that you can climb on and play on. The babies mostly just wanted to swing.

This was Harley's first time on the swings and boy he was in love.

Odds and Ends

Odds and Ends pictures from January

Macie loves to love on Harley any change he gets.

And Emery loves to hold him any chance she gets.

Made tomato basil soup for dinner. Harley loved it,,,but had to have a bath immediately afterward.

These two are the very best of friends.

Loves his exersaucer. Just like his sisters did before him.

More cuddles.

Getting ready for church a few weeks ago Macie tripped over a toy and fell into her bed. She has quite the goose egg. It knocked her down for a little while, but soon enough she was back to her self.

Sweet sleeping baby.
