Welker Christmas Party

Last night we had Jake's brothers over and our sister-law to celebrate Christmas with them! Matt is leaving for Illinois to move his stuff home before he leaves for boot camp so this was our last night with him. We had a lot of fun. I made Garlic Chicken Lasagne and little personal cheesecakes :) Be proud, I didn't take ONE picture of food. Go me. After dinner we opened present and then played some games on the Wii! Thanks for coming over guys!

The personal cheesecakes weren't enough I guess...about an hour later Jake pulled out the leftovers of the big cheesecake I had made from another Christmas Party that we had a Saturday night...

Provo Tabernacle

As many of you know the historic Provo Tabernacle burned down on Friday. These pictures and being there just make me sick! I was so lucky to have held my graduation here in September. This Tabernacle was built in 1883 by the LDS pioneers. It took 15 years to build, everything was handmade, and hand carved. It was such a beautiful building. Back then it cost them $100,000 to build...you can only imagine what that is today. So many people have memories here. So sad....here are some before and after pictures. All before pictures from here, all after pictures by me.

This is an after picture as well obviously, but I didn't take it. I found it here. I loved it though, the whole picture burned except for Christ. Just another testimony that his power is real.
The Church still hasn't decided if they are going to rebuild it yet, the inspectors haven't even been able to assess the damage to see if it is safe to rebuild. It would be nice if they could, but at the same time they could never make it anything like it was before...
I mostly just hope that when they do find out what happened, that it wasn't arson. For someone to purposefully burn down a building this beautiful, with this much history would be absolutely terrible. I just hope it was an accident...

Salem Hills Wrestling

Jake and I went to my cousin Justin's wrestling match last tonight and it was fun! I was really excited also to try out my camera on action shots, and in a gym. It's hard at wrestling duels because they always turn off all the lights except for one right above the mat so there is virtually no light at all. But I messed around with my camera trying to remember everything I've learned about photography so far (basically nothing with everything there is to learn...) and got some not to bad pictures!

He won! Good job!

Todd showing him some moves....haha

Linnea's turning "tutu"

A few months ago my good friend Emily asked me to help her with her adorable daughter Linnea's birthday party. We got together about a month ago and took some pictures of her and I made these invitations for it.

She is turning 2 and I thought it would be really cute to do a "tutu" party. And I LOVED it, don't be surprised if you see this party again in the future with my future two year old...

Strawberry Cheesecake and Vanilla cupcakes

Linnea LOVED her fish...a lot...

She was not happy to have it taken away to open other presents...

Happy Birthday Linnea! Thanks for letting us be part of it!
