As many of you know the historic Provo Tabernacle burned down on Friday. These pictures and being there just make me sick! I was so lucky to have held my graduation here in September. This Tabernacle was built in 1883 by the
LDS pioneers. It took 15 years to build, everything was handmade, and hand carved. It was such a beautiful building. Back then it cost them $100,000 to build...you can only imagine what that is today. So many people have memories here. So sad....here are some before and after pictures. All before pictures from
here, all after pictures by me.

This is an after picture as well obviously, but I didn't take it. I found it
here. I loved it though, the whole picture burned except for
Christ. Just another testimony that his power is real.
The
Church still hasn't decided if they are going to rebuild it yet, the inspectors haven't even been able to assess the damage to see if it is safe to rebuild. It would be nice if they could, but at the same time they could never make it anything like it was before...
I mostly just hope that when they do find out what happened, that it wasn't arson. For someone to purposefully burn down a building this beautiful, with this much history would be absolutely terrible. I just hope it was an accident...
