Lunch with the fam!

Saturday afternoon, my cousins, aunt, sister, mom, and I went to Chili's to lunch to catch up!! We had so much fun talking and catching up!! It was so good to see little Ava too! She is getting so big and so cute! She even said her FirstWord right before they came! She is growing up so fast!! Thanks for coming everyone it was fun!!

Applebees Karaoke Night!!

Last Tuesday was an insanely CRAZY day at work...so after being together for 12 beautiful hours, we decided we just couldn't get enough of each other and to go to Karaoke Night at Applebees! Yeah! haha, we had so much fun hanging out and de-stressing after a crazy day on the 7th floor Oncology unit! Love you guys! You make the days a little less long....haha :)

Surprise Party

It's about time I finally post this! I'm about a week late, last Thursday we had a surprise birthday party for my roommate Megan! It was a alot of fun and she had absolutely NO idea! I made so much food I cannot even tell you! I baked for 4 1/2 hours!! I finished right as everyone was coming so I forgot to take pictures of the food until like halfway through...And I forgot to even take one of the cake. I just have one when Megan is blowing out the candles! But it was a really fun party!

This is the only picture I got of the cake that I made...I totally forgot to take one because I was in such a hurry! But you can see it good enough! My 'theme' colors for the party were light yellow, light pink, light green, and light blue. The cake was a three layer Red Velvet and Swiss Chocolate cake with Cream Cheese frosting in the middle! SO YUMMY!!

More of sweet Victor! He leaves me next week to go back to Ecuador! But I am going to visit him!! His dad is in charge of a big hospital down there and is a GI doctor so they said after I graduate from Nursing school I can go down and stay with him and his dad will let me come work/volunteer at the hospital and work in the orphanges! He said he'll take me in on the surgeries and everything! So exciting!

St. Patricks Desserts and my new Stethoscope

These are the desserts that I made for Brandon and Jason and my roommates for St. Patricks day. The balls are Oreo bites that I made, then the others are just Oreos dipped in chocolate! They were YUMMY!!!! THEN today I got my new stethoscope in the mail!! YEAH!!! It is SO nice! It is a Littmann Master Classic II and I love it! It is Burgundy and has ~Kara RN~ engraved on the top! I love it! It has amazin aucoustics and I can hear about anything now! I have been messing around with it all day! Even Brandon has been practicing with it, I taught him how to listen to lungs, he says he hears stuff...who knows if he really does...But I love it! So excited to take it to the hospital tomorrow!

Cupcakes and Cake Bites

I am making some more fun desserts tonight for St. Patricks (I did have a big green dinner planned, but I ended up have to work a 12 today :(, so no more green dinner) And then Thursday night we are throwing a surprise birthday party for my roommate Megan and I am making TONS of yummy treats! Our whole ward is coming so I have a lot to make!! It is gonna be SOOOO good! I will post more pics!!

Viva Las Vegas!

My roommate Janaye is from Las Vegas so it is easy to take quick trip down there! Nicole's dad said he'd pay for our gas, Janaye's mom made our food! Free trip! YEAH!!

Right after buying the ticket to my death....not to happy about it either...

In the Stratosphere gift shop...Nicole and Julia made me do it...

Right before taking the plunge to my death...these rides were by far the SCARIEST thing I have EVER done in my life. 100% worth every penny (especially since the rest of the trip was free) but SO scary! The last one we went on was called Insanity, and yes you have to be insane to go on it, you sit in these seats, and are held in by a little bar. It takes you over the side of the Stratosphere (900ft in the air) and spins you around and around while you stare at the ground. I was crying and screaming the whole time, everyone in line waiting was cheering for me. As soon as it got over I was still freakin out and they all started clapping and cheering for me. The other ride we went on was called XScream. An open, floorless ride that shoots off the side of the Stratosphere towards the ground at 30 mph then suddenly stops you, lifts you up in the air and then just drops you. It does it twice...I was FREAKING out on this one too..The other one is called the Big Shot, it was scary, but the least scary of them all. It is basically the Rocket at Lagoon, just on TOP of the Stratosphere...SO FREAKY. I seriously did not think I was going to live through this experience...

Before we left on Sunday we went back to the Makeover house to check out how far they had gotten, in 24 hours it was a completely different house! We also really wanted to see Ty....

Ty's security guard! We though he was a LV cop, then I asked him if he had met Ty yet, and he laughed and said yeah I travel with him wherever he goes! So we decided a picture with him was just as good as one with Ty....for now at least :)

It was a fun WARM weekend getaway!! It was 70 down there and we loved every minute of it! It was nice to come back to decent weather here as well, not as warm, but sunny and not cold at least! Thanks for the fun trip girls!!
