Sick Day

Today Ems having her first sick day, darn colds. We started off with some tears, lots of cuddles, bottles, a binki, and a nap. (Largely due to mom being awake for 29 hours now...and working a 12 hour night shift in the middle of that)

And she seems to be feeling a little better. As long as I don't put her down and keep cuddling her we have very little tears and even some smiles. Poor girl. Feel better soon sweetie.

Good Morning

I am the lucky mom who gets to wake up to this every single morning.

 And this...
And this...

Best way to start the day for sure.
Have a happy Tuesday everyone!

Sunny Day

Visiting Grandpa at work-Him leaving to come push her on the swings-Mom and Dad going down the slide with her too-A peach Tangee and fries at Stephs-and a walk around the town.
Perfect Sunny February Day!
This has been the best winter ever, I can handle spring in February any day.

Emery's newest favorite past-time, Exersaucing

Emery never sits down. Ever. She wants someone to be holding her up standing all the time. So in a effort to give us a break and still make her happy we bought her an Exersaucer. It has turned out to be our best investment yet!

First Swim

Emery went for her first swim today! She loved it. We figured that she would since being in the tub is her favorite, 2nd only to eating.
So we got her all dressed up in her ruffly swimsuit (so in love with this suit), and went for a swim!
She floated on her back, her stomach, she didn't care. She even tried to drink the water. (yuck!) But don't worry I prevented that.

Can't wait to go to St. George next month and swim in an outdoor pool now in the sunshine!
I have a feeling we will be visiting a lot of pools this summer, which is a-ok with me.

HAFB Aerospace Museum

Since we got married Jake has been begging to go to the Aerospace Museum at HAFB every time we would go to Morgan. We never got time. So now that we live up here we took last Saturday to show Jake the museum. He was in heaven for a few hours :)

Emery was really interested in all the planes...

Love that smile so much. Makes my whole day.

P-40 WarHawk

F-16

This was Jake and my Dad's favorite plane. I originally didn't take any pictures of it, because look at it, it's huge. How was I supposed to get a decent picture? But I was put under strict instructions from Jake that I had to take a picture of the SR-71. It is actually a pretty impressive plane. It can fly from New York to London in 1 hour and 55 minutes and London to LA in 3 hours and 47 minutes. Pretty crazy that we went from building prop planes to this plane. It remained a top secret plane that only flew at night when people couldn't see it until about the 70s.

Glad that Jake was finally able to go to the museum. Once we have some little boys I'm sure we will be making many trips back :)

Finally...some real food! Well sorta...

Emery loves food. (hence the endless rolls down her thighs and arms, oh how I love them :)) Every time we sit down to eat she will stare down our food and open her mouth to take a bite if it ever gets near her or she thinks you are going to give her a bite (we don't). She is really wanting something more than milk! So we finally decided it was time to start with the basics, rice cereal. It's no peanut butter sandwich, (like she tried to eat not long before) but it turned out to be a success.
Dad put her bottle top on his Dr. Pepper to tease her...she wanted it.
First bite. Not too sure about it....most of it came right back out.

After the first few bites she really got the hang of it.

Then she started to really like it...we couldn't keep up with her.

We finally had to stop, in spite of the tears that followed, I was afraid we were going to make her throw up.
She was a mess though! Straight to the tub she went.

All clean and happy with a full belly! This rice cereal might not be too bad!
