Temple Dedication moved back...

Well the Temple Dedication has officially been changed to the 10th instead of the 3rd...sad I know...But that is ok it's only a week later! So all of the programs and festivites are just sent back a week! The only really bad thing is that a lot of people had weddings scheduled to happen next week right after it got dedicated...and now they aren't sure what they are supposed to do! They are going to either have to postpone the wedding with VERY short notice, or move it to the Idaho Falls temple which has a much smaller sealing room and cut back on how many guests they have in the temple! I feel bad for all of them....But it's ok! We are excited that the "new" First Presidency will be here on the 10th anyway! It will be interesting to see who ends up coming up to the Icy North!

President Hinckley

As many of you know President Hinckley just died. I am so sad right now. I guess I am kind of selfishly sad since he was coming up here this weekend to dedicate the temple. He was going to be here on Saturday we were going to be able to see him! dang it! Oh well, Pres. Monson and Eyring and Bednar and a couple others will still be here. We were just really excited for him to come up. I can't even imagine the reunion that happened in heaven last night....! We were so lucky to have been able to grow up with his as our prophet! He has been the prophet pratically all of my life, and more importantly during my youth when I needed the most help. He is going to be missed so much by all of the members of the Church! But i'm also really excited for President Monson. He is such an amazing man also. President Hinckley did so much for the church. He built so many temples, the church practically doubled in numbers. I am so blessed to have been able to grow up while he was prophet.

Funniest Thing EVER!

K so the FUNNIEST thing happened last night! So my roommate Kimberlea and I were sitting there watching TV when Amanda (wright from morgan) came out and she's like guys I think I just flushed the bathroom door knob down the toilet. We were really intoour show so we were just like oh ok and went back to watching it. Well a couple seconds past and Amanda was just standing there and then it clicked what she had said, and I was like what what did you do? And she's like I flushed the door knob down the toilet. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life....I went in there and sure enough it was lodged down in the bottom of the toilet! Well come to find out Amanda went to the bathroom, flushed the toilet, then pulled the door open and the handle flew off hit the wall and bounced into the toilet that she had just flushed...! Well Amanda wouldn't get it out so I got a big rubber glove out and pulled out the door handle...haha! here are some pictures. It was hilarious!

Missionary moment!

K so I totally had a missionary moment today and it was awesome! I have this friend that lives in London that I met on my cruise like 2 years ago. And I was just talking to him, and it being the Sabbath and all I was feeling in a missionary mood and I was like Will have you ever heard much about my church and he's like no I haven't heard anything and I was like well would you want to. And he's all yeah sure! SOOO!!! I told him about it a little, I was super super scared though! I told him that we believe that God in our Father and that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that he died for us so that we can live with God again. And he really liked that idea. Then he said that he wanted there to be more of a purpose to his life, that he didn't want to just live and die and that was it. And I was like well acutally that is one of the main beliefs of our Church that if we live worthily and follow the Lord that we will be able to live with Him again in the Eternities, we also believe that we lived with him before we came to earth and he sent us here to receive our bodies and to be tested! He really liked that. I told him a couple things and then I started saying some stuff about the Book of Mormon...he wasn't so sure about that because he really doesn't even believe the bible is true. He thinks it's great and that he wants to believe it's true, but it's just hard to believe. and he said that he kinda believes in God... IT WAS SOOO AWESOME!!! Oh my heck then he had to go, because it was like 11:30 at night there...but he did say that he wants to hear more. But it's going to be hard since there is a 7 hour time difference...I can't get a book of Mormon to him or anything! I don't know what to do! I tried to find a place on the church's website to send the missionaries to his house but I couldn't find a place! I want him to hear more though! He's not into drugs at all, but he does drink...He is so awesome though. I don't know what to do! Like 2 weeks ago, I felt like I should go and get a Preach my Gospel and so i did and I've been reading it! And walla! Look what happened! Sorry you prob think i'm so lame! But when you go to school with 10,000 other LDS kids you don't get missionary oppurtunites very often....haha!
