My Handyman

It's finished!! (Jake is very happy this project is over...) Jake and my dad built this entertainment center for our living room! We had originally that Jake built last summer by himself, but it was kind of...let's say bachelor pad-ish. It was nice, I just wanted something a little more feminine. So we donated that one to his roommates and Jake built this with my dad, and I love it! It turned out so good, and it is very sturdy, and strong, and we'll be able to keep it for a while! Good job honey!! And thank you dad! Next on the list...the bookcase!

24th

Jake's Birthday was a couple weeks ago so I decided to use it as an excuse to 1. Have some friends over to our new house and 2. do some baking! (my favorite thing) We had so much with everyone that came! Thank you so much for coming to visit and supporting Jake!!

Haha his cake totally did not turn out how I wanted it to...It got down to about 15 minutes before the party and I had to do something so this is what we got. Oh well. It still tasted good. Mango with Mango Lime Frosting.

Cupcakes were mango as well.

(I had a lot of mango's from my Bountiful Basket the week before I needed to use...so that's what I came up with haha)

Ties for the favor bags

Linnea was so funny. She has so much energy. She likes Jake too, she helped him open presents and everything. We love this little girl!!

Jake opening presents from my dad and I. My dad got him a holster for his gun (his brothers got him a little hand gun for our wedding) Jake LOVED the holster, he'd been wanting one for a while. I got him the DeWalt drill that he has been wanting for months and months, and a DeWalt Drill and Driver set.

We had so much! We love having all of our friends over. We will do it again soon I hope.

Done!

{I haven't forgotten how painful it was quite yet :)}

TODAY was my LAST shift as a PCT!!! YAHOO! I start work as an Registered Nurse on Monday! I am SO ready for this day. It has taken hours and hours of work and I am so glad it's done! It's still {unofficial} I haven't taken the NCLEX yet......I am still waiting for my Authorization to Test, so with waiting for that and scheduling a date, my boards should be next week sometime hopefully. Maybe the next week. I'm just happy to be done and to start working next week! And to FINALLY have a decent paycheck! YAY! I will be working in the Oncology (cancer) dept still. And am pretty excited about it.

Yellowstone and Island Park

Over the 24th of July we took a trip up to Island Park and camped. Jake had never been to Yellowstone so we took a trip into the park to see a few highlights, we didn't have much time, and plan on going back next summer to do/see more. But it was a good quick trip!!

This is one of my favorite spots in Yellowstone, so even though we didn't have much time I really wanted to go here, it is the Exelcior Geyser. Another stop (I didn't take one single picture there...) is the Rock Canyon Swimming Hole, we stumbled upon this place by accident about 4 years ago, but it has now become one of my top 5 Yellowstone places to visit!

The other 3? Old Faithful (which we did make it to), The Tetons, and The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone (Which we'll have to do next time for Jake)

Of course this place is at the top of my list too. You can't go to Yellowstone without seeing Old Faithful.

Lagoon

Jake had never been to Lagoon so for the 4th of July (actually on the 5th though) we decided to go! We had so much fun. We were there from opening til closing time and were beat by the end of the day! But we had a blast. We also took my cousins with us, so much fun.

The swings is one of my very favorite rides! We got soaked on Rattlesnake Rapids so we went on this ride like 4 times in a row to try to dry off..

New Table

We got our new table about 3 weeks ago...but I haven't had time to post much lately! So I will be playing catch up for the next little while!! Here is our new table...
