June

I hate that time is just passing so quickly. I feel like every day time passes a little faster. I am blown away that June is already over. How is summer halfway over!! Ahhh. I want it to stop (other than the house building...that could go faster...I'd be okay with that) Luckily it has been an awesome summer.

First off, we decided to buy season passes to Cherry Hill, which I am SO happy about. We have had so much fun going. Our good friends, and former favorite neighbors, got passes with us so that has been so much fun.

Just some pre-church Sunday photos just because our "backyard" is pretty enough that we can.

We have quite literally swam at least 90% of the days this month. I have very few pictures this month that they aren't in a swimming suit! haha. I love this picture of Macie. She was so tired and fell right asleep reading her favorite book.

(notice the swimming suits again...haha!) I had to snap this adorable picture of Emery reading books to Harley. Macie and Harley are kind of stinkers to each other, but Emery and him are very close. He asks for her whenever she is even out of sight. They are too sweet.

Going to the splash pad with our friends Hillary and Beckham.

I love these 3 little fishes.

Emery and Macie just finished 2 weeks of swimming lessons today. They did SO well. I can't even believe how far they both came in just 2 weeks. Macie went from being terrified of even getting close to water to jumping into and swimming in the deep end all by herself. Emery has always hated getting her face wet, even in the bath tub. Now she is jumping off the diving board and diving for rings with no problem. I am so proud of both of them!

Emery's last year of Tball! Next year she moves up to coach pitch. She had the cutest little team of boys. I am pretty sure she never even noticed that she was the only girl on the team, she definitely didn't care if she did notice.

At the Thunderbirds Airshow at Hill Air Force Base.

A swimming birthday party for me a few days before my birthday. We swam for FOUR HOURS. Jake and I both said when we left that we don't think either of us have swam for that long consecutively. We couldn't get those kids out though!

June has been so fun. On top of this it has been full of campfires roasting hot dogs and smores with friends, splash pads and parks, long walks and bike rides. July is going to be just as awesome.

Island Park

A few weeks ago we took a vacation to one of my very favorite places on earth, Island Park. We haven't been since right after Jake and I got married, so a few months ago when my mom suggested we go stay at the cabin we used to stay at I was 100% on board. The first thing Harley did when we got there is lounge out on the front porch... He was tired of being in the car. And have I mentioned how obsessed this kid is with sunglasses?

The cabins we stayed at are right on the river, so we spent lot of time here. The kids were in love.

They spent countless hours in this river catching minnows.

After finally talking them into getting out of the river we headed to West Yellowstone to get something to eat and shop. We ate at a really cool "Taco Bus" It was literal bus that some Mexicans turned into a "restaurant".

Day 2 was our canoeing day. We slept in, and sat around and relaxed and did nothing (which felt great to do by the way...) for most of the morning. Then around 11 we went and canoed down the river. It takes about 4 hours, it was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast.

Harley fell asleep when we were about 1/4 of the way there. He quickly woke up when we stopped for lunch.

The next day we went in Yellowstone to see some of the things in there, most especially Old Faithful.

We lucked out and got to Old Faithful about 5 minutes before it was ready to erupt.

Afterwards to we HAD to go get some of our very favorite Huckleberry Ice Cream from the Old Faithful Inn.

Later that night I took some mission pictures for Shayli. Haley insisted we get a "sibling" picture, which in my defense wasn't fair because it was raining... :)

My prop specialists.

Sunday morning was our last day. So we went on one last bike ride before we headed home.

And I had to get a picture of these gorgeous canoes so I threw Emery in front of them too!

We had an amazing week and not one of us were ready to come home. Emery literally woke up Monday morning and cried for a good 10 minutes because she wanted to go back so bad. I could have easily stayed another 2 or even 3 days. Not pictured is even more hours spent at the river, 4-wheeling rides, bike rides, pizza nights, play ground time, and picnics. It was such a fun weekend, I wish we could go back right now!

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's to my best friend, and these kiddos Daddy. We love you more than you'll ever know! You are the fun one, the rough one, the kindest, the most loving, and most hardworking person we know. We hope you know how much we love and appreciate all you do for us!

May Happenings

On top of the previous posts....here is a quick miscellaneous recap of our May.
Colton graduated with his Bachelors in Civil Engineering.

Emery had her Dance Recital. She did so good! That picture on the right is probably my favorite picture of these 3 ever!! They are getting so dang big.

My newest style...hats, hats, and more hats. I have to wear hats everywhere since my surgery. No sun is allowed to touch my scar so hats it is. You can kind of see my incision if you look really close! It looks like a choker necklace...it is starting to look so much better now!

Emery and her trophy from the Utah State Dance Championships. She got to keep it!

Shayli going through the Manti temple.

It rained for like 30 days straight here I swear...if that is not an exact number it is pretty close. So we had huge mud puddles everywhere! I wanted to go crazy. The kids were always covered in mud. Harley loved it though.

A trip to the Zoo.

These kiddo's moms and I have been friends for 8 years now! We went to nursing school together, and worked on 7th floor together. We were single back then, now we have 7 kids!

Emery started Tball this month too. She is actually pretty good this year! The first game or two she struggled with where to run after she hit the ball...she kept running to the ball instead of the base, but she has it figured out now!

And that's that! Onto June, Bring on summer!! We are LOVING it already.
