This is late. I wanted to do it a while ago, I'm not sure why I haven't. Some mix of a million other things to do when I finally get time to sit down at the computer at night, and not wanting to do it because it really means our vacation and reliving it by going through pictures is over. Which makes my heart hurt. This was the best vacation I've ever been on, even though I have been on this exact vacation a few times before. These littles just made it better than ever. We are all counting the minutes until we go back. Emery has informed me she is saving her money to go back. I figured it would be a few years before we went back, but I am pretty certain it will be sooner than that! I can't wait that long!
Our last morning we got the the park suuuuper early. over an hour before we it opened. Because we thought it opened an hour early that day! Turns out it was the next day it opened an hour early. oops! Oh well. Jake and Harley waited in line and I took the girls, who detest lines, and we walked around Downtown Disney. They were cracking me, and everyone around them up. They would run, holding hands of course, from one thing to another, pose and say "take a picture!" and then off they went to the next thing. We checked out the World of Disney gift shop-HUGE-. It was fun.
Once we got into the park, we HAD to finally take the traditional picture in front of the Mickey flowers.
A bunch of the characters were in town square so we got some autographs in our books and some pictures. Emery and Macie up there with Dale
Here on the left with Chip, and the right, obviously Donald. Macie LOVED him for some reason. She was so happy. haha! There was a little band playing in the Town Square and Chip danced with Emery for a long time, it was so cute. I got it all on video!
On our way to go ride the Winnie the Pooh ride we ran into a few more of our favorites. Woody was HUGE. Macie was terrified of him. But he was over 7 feet tall so you can't really blame her!
We also ran into Tigger and Pooh. Macie initially went right up to Tigger, but after a hug she was a little freaked out and ran off. So only Emery got a picture with him.
But Pooh she was not afraid of at all. She couldn't even stop hugging him. By this time it was barely 1030, but already Harley was exhausted, and he was out!
So I took the girls and went and rode the Winne the Pooh ride while Jake stayed with him, and then we switched and he went with the girls while I stayed with him. Luckily there was no line at all, so we walked right on both times.
After that the Pooh Characters had made their way to Pooh Corner. So we visited Eeyore, and Pooh again.
We changed into princess dresses and went to visit the few princesses we didn't see the first day. We did see Cinderella again, but it was fun to see Snow White!
I loved how comfortable Macie was with all of the princesses. She would stand as close to them as she could, she always acted like they were best friends.
And of course we had to see Belle!
After that Emery changed back into her clothes, Macie insisted on staying Cinderella the rest of the day. But Jake and I took turns taking Emery on Splash Mountain. She loved it!
As we were leaving Frontierland, we found Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie.
Right after that Harley needed a major diaper change, but we realized we had used all the diaper we brought! Now is when it pays to stay in a hotel across the street! At Disneyland across the street can be kind of a relative term, because it is still quite a walk, but it is technically across the street. So the kids and I hung out in this gift shop for a while, while Jake ran back and grabbed some. The girls found these stuffed animal babies and were obsessed with them. Looking back I kind of wish we had bought some, but we have so many stuffed animals we decided not too....

Throughout the day we did lots of things, rode various rides we hadn't ridden yet, and some that we had we did again. Went to the some gift shops and loaded up on souvenirs, Went to the day time Mickey Parade. All kinds of things. We just soaked up our last day in that magical place. I was so sad it was coming to an end. I could have easily spent another entire day there. We did pretty much every thing we absolutely wanted too, still didn't get to do a few things, but they weren't the top things on our list.
We had to go to the Paint the Night parade again, it is just so magical you can't miss it, then we watched the Fireworks. The girls were so tired. I honestly have never ever seen them so tired in my life. This night we didn't even stop for dinner, so we walked to the McDonalds across the street on our way home and Jake and I got dinner. The girls just slept just like this the whole time in that noisy, packed to the brim, place!
And just like that it was over! We woke up the next morning and started packing. The girls woke and said, "Let's go to Disneyland!" They had gotten into a routine...they were so bummed when we told them it was over and time to go home. We got everything loaded into the car and started home. We went back and forth about taking a detour up to LA but one look at the traffic app for the I-5 and that plan went out the window! So we headed home. We did the whole drive in one day this time because Jake wanted to get back for work. He had been in a conference for the few days before we left that it had been a really long time since he had been in the office, so he thought he should get back. So it was a very long day of traveling, but we made it at about midnight that night. Jake headed to work the next morning, it was sooooooo hard to be home. We had a serious case of the post vacation blues. It took a good week at least to get back into a routine. Emery even missed tumbling after we got back because I was so out of the routine that I forgot about it! haha. But we're back in it now, even if we do wish we were still over there.
Until next time Disney.
