Baby Animals and the Temple

As per our favorite Spring tradition we went to see the Baby Animals on Saturday after Jake and I got home. It was POURING rain, but we hoped it would stop, or at least up, and we really wanted to go, so we decided to tough it out.

First stop of course was the horse and pony rides. Emery really wanted to ride a "small one" (pony). And lucky for her it worked out that when it got to her turn, it was a pony! She was so happy!!

Even Macie got to ride. She thought it was pretty neat!

After the horses we went to the bunnies.

Then to the baby chicks. While we were in here with the chicks it started to rain really really hard. A lot of people just left. Macie was shaking she was so cold so we decided to call it quits. It was freezing and we were wet! Emery wanted to see the goats and lambs and cows. So Jake took the babies to the car and I took Emery to see the other animals, but by the time we got over to them Emery said she was freezing and just wanted to go too. So we took a quick look and ran to the car. We were soaked by the time we got there. It was worth it though.
After that we went an got some lunch and started heading down to Payson. My family is all originally from this area and a lot still live there. So when they announced this temple my grandpa really wanted the whole family to go to the open house together. So even though he isn't here with us anymore, we still wanted to do it. So my uncle had gotten us tickets to go. So we headed down to meet the family and go. It was still pouring, and we stood in the rain to get in, but it was gorgeous and completely worth every minute. I am loving all of these close temples opening allowing us to take our kids to see them. Emery is so bummed after they are dedicated and she can't go in anymore. Next year it's the Provo temple we will get to go see! After the open house we went to my uncles house for a barbecue. Love my family!

Almost everyone was able to get in! Jake and I couldn't ;(

5 Years

Jake and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary last week! I can hardly believe it has been that long. It has flown by. I woke up to this surprise of a handmade card and chocolate dipped strawberries. Jake drew that and spent all night cutting every piece out by hand! I was so impressed. I love it! I started planning a surprise for Jake back in February. I didn't want him to plan anything though so I made up a meeting for work that night and told him we wouldn't be able to do anything. And I started planning! My mom said she would watch the kids overnight so I booked us a room at the Anniversary Inn, we had been wanting to stay there for a long time but with the kids never get a chance! I also booked us a couples massage and a reservation at his favorite restaurant, Tucanos. It was so much fun to get dressed up and just go out with no kids!! Happy Anniversary babe! I love you to the moon!!

Easter in Mesquite

Oh boy this post is sooo overdue!! I am so glad I am finally getting it up! Over Easter weekend we went to Mesquite and went camping. It had been a rough week...That Monday started out with Harley throwing up. Tuesday morning it hit Emery, Tuesday night it hit Jake. Wednesday it hit Macie. Then Thursday morning it hit me...a few hours before we were supposed to leave! Ahh! It was terrible. Luckily I had packed pretty much everything beforehand so Jake just had to load it in the car, and we took off! I didn't feel good, but I just sat back in my seat and tried to not throw up. A few hours into it I started to feel a little better, and guess who threw up again all over his car seat...I couldn't believe we were going to start all over! Harley had his fever back and did not feel well. We considered just turning around and going back home, but we decided to go ahead and hope for the best. A normally 5-6 hour drive, turned into about a 9 hour drive...it was soooo long. But we finally made it late that night! We pretty much went straight to bed. We were all exhausted from a long week!

Harley had fever throughout the night and in the morning, but other than that seemed fine. So we loaded up the 4 wheelers and went for a ride! I unfortunately didn't take my camera. I was so bummed! I missed some good pictures. But oh well.

After 4 wheeling we met up with some friends at their condo and went swimming! Macie was being super grumpy and would not get close to the pool. My mom eventually got her in, and she was still so grumpy. She was so tired. So I went and laid her down in the shade to take a nap. After about 20 minutes I went over to check on her, and touched her and she was burning up! I had brought the thermometer and took her temperature and sure enough she was roasting. Argh! We could not get rid of this sickness!! So I ran to Wal-Mart and got her some medicine. She continued to have fevers through the rest of the weekend but she wasn't too ornery. She is just pretty scared of the pool, so when we were at the pool she was very content to lay down and take a nap. Which I was 100% okay with!

Popsicles were exactly what this girl wanted ;) poor little sickie.

The next morning we woke up and went to the local Easter Egg Hunt. We had gone to this one before and it is super fun! It was little smaller and a little more crowded this year than before, but it was still fun. Macie didn't understand very well, but Emery had fun!

After that we did a little shopping and then headed back to the pool of course! Macie slept and ate popsicles! Harley was finally feeling better and refused to sleep and wanted to swim and of course eat popsicles.

Emery and her buddy Thatcher. They will be in the same grade in school. They had so much fun!

After swimming for hours. We went back to camp and colored Easter eggs.

Then Shayli set up another egg hunt for the girls. Macie did much better at this one.

Macie kept walking around like this saying "Where go?" haha. She had so much fun. There were SO many eggs. It took them a while to find them all.

That night the Easter Bunny came! The girls were super excited.

After breakfast we packed up and headed into St. George. We grabbed some lunch and then went and did some Rock Climbing. Emery had so much fun climbing on all of the rocks!

Shayli and I climbed up to the very top with her. She loved it. She was such a daredevil. I was freaking out a little (a lot!) about being over a cliff like that, but she wasn't scared at all. She was jumping and running. I finally grabbed her hand to make her be calm and stay by me!

We had so much fun, like we always do down there. By the time we were on our way home the kids were finally all feeling better...FINALLY! Can't wait to go back to St. George!!

Tiny Dancer

Emery's dance class performed at the local Assisted Living today. They did so good! And they were so dang cute. I can't wait for the Dance Revue now in just a couple more weeks. I am so glad that Emery is loving dance like I did, I hope she continues to!
