Kogan Reunion

Somehow I missed blogging about the family reunion we went to in July. So here we go. We headed to Ely Nevada for our every other year Kogan family reunion. This is one of our favorite reunions, we always have so much fun. Even though we knew Lainee was only going to be 2 weeks old we knew we had to go!

Lainee got to meet loooots of family.

And these guys played non stop. I didn't even know where Emery was at least 80% of the time. She was so busy with cousins it was amazing. She would swing by now and then when she was ready for a meal, and then she was gone again. There were so many aunts, and uncles, and cousins, and grandma's around keeping an eye on them though I didn't worry.

My dad and grandma gave Harley these little deer after one of the games and he loved them. He had them fighting with their antlers.

Having Lainee with us made the reunion pretty low key for Jake and I. We didn't go on the long off roading rides or the hikes. We tried to go on one but a lot of the other little kids weren't going and Emery and Macie begged to not go and to stay with their cousins, so we didn't!

Parts of our family tree.

On our lasy day there we took the short drive over to Lund where my grandma is buried and visited his grave. Sure do miss that guy.

What would we do without Amber...like for real. She is the best cousin ever and these kids adore her. They follow her every where and she is the absolute best sport.

Some of the girls cousins, we know how to do girls in our family that is for sure. These is only from about 4 families, so there are oodles more girls. There are only 4 boys total.

Until 2019! Yay!

July

July came and went so fast I'm not even sure what happened. But here are a few pictures from day to day random happenings.

Our little Pineapple.

If I needed to sum up our summer in 2 words it would be outside and OtterPops.

She loves her daddy.

Harley absolutely loves his baby sister!

Emery decided to steal some scissors and chop off her hair. I may or may not have cried....My friend Julie came over and fixed it, she did a great job, and it is really cute. But we still really miss her long hair!

I laid Lainee down in her crib one night and then went in to read books to Harley for bed while Jake read to the girls. I finished and went in to see how much more they had left and saw this. He loves his girls!

Lainee is 2 months

Our sweet little Lainee is 2 months as of yesterday. I'll spare you all the cliches about how it goes so fast, and I can't believe it, etc....buuuut seriously...why?!? I just want to cuddle my newborn forever. We are all obsessed with her. Even Jake said to me the other day, "You're my favorite person in the world, but Lainee is a close second..." haha! She seriously has stolen the hearts of every one in this family.
Lainee loves to be held, cuddled, and fed. But also doesn't pretty good when we put her on the floor to play. She smiles a lot, especially when she has just woken up. She get's up twice a night, at 2 and 6. But goes to bed at 8 and gets up between about 8 and 9 (let's pray she keeps that schedule!!) She is in a mixture of newborn to 0-3 month clothes. This onesie is newborn. She is in size 1 diapers. She weighs 10 pounds 2 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long.

2017 Fair

Last week was one of our favorite weeks of the year, the Morgan County Fair. We always have so much fun. First off this year was the parade (I apparently didn't take any pictures....) then that night was the Demolition Derby.

Lainee with her ear protection, haha! Her smiles are the best ever.

With my dad being on the Fair Board we get s little early information sometimes. So we found out months ago that Monster Trucks were coming to the fair this year. We have been so excited! Especially Harley. Before the show they let you go walk around and look at the trucks and meet the drivers.

It was SUCH a good show. We had so much fun. They were extremely loud, but they were a lot of fun.

Next night, the rodeo!

Saturday we went and did a bunch of kids games.

Harley being Harley. He is such a ham lately when I try to take him picture.

We spent more hours than I can count at these bounce houses that week...

Emery and Macie begged for pink glitter hair. So we did it.
We had so much fun and ate way more fair food, especially cotton candy and snow cones, than we probably should, but it was worth it!
