Whew! What a month! September FLEW by. But we stayed soooo busy I'm not surprised. Unfortunately went I uploaded all of these they uploaded in completely the wrong order....And it wasn't worth starting over! So these will be all over the map but here we go...First off this weekend....Jake took off on boys trip with my dad, my brother, and a group of a bunch of guys to Las Vegas to some big shooting range for some kind of hand gun class. To be honest, I honestly don't have a clue what they are doing...I know he bought a new gun to go, a bunch of ammo, and has been at a class for 4 days.
But while he's been gone we have been anything but bored. We miss him like crazy (especially by myself with 4 kids in sacrament meeting and trying to run a primary with Lainee as my "helper"!!) But we have definitely stayed busy. He left Thursday, and we stayed pretty uneventful that day. Friday night we went up the canyon with some friends for a hot dog roast. Probably the last of the season...but the leaves were beautiful and the kids had a blast playing with their friends.
Saturday we headed to the zoo with Aunt Haley and Evie.
Evie and Lainee LOVED the animals. Evie especially loved the Sea Lions, and Lainee did a great deal of telling off the grizzly bears. haha. It was pretty hilarious.
The Leopard and the Red Panda.
After a day at the zoo and a date to our very favorite Chick Fil A, we hit up our other favorite, Target. Or as Macie called it a few years ago, "Mom's happy store" haha Lainee needed some love from her brother.
And back to more out of order pictures, haha! Back to the canyon cook out.
Made our first of many to come pumpkin desserts, one of my favorites Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. mmmmmm
BEFORE the cook out we hit the Morgan Homecoming parade. Always my favorite parade of the year!
Meanwhile Jake is in Las Vegas, or actually Pahrump...wherever that is.
Oh look more parade! haha!
Macie's rainbow day at school. And she found a rolly polley bug and had to have a picture.
Little poser on the right up there.
Lainee loves to get in the car and drive into the driveway and garage when Jake gets home from work.
Lainee copy cating Macie practicing her dance and swinging on the swing at grandma's house.
Harley cracks me up with his "tools" he periodically runs in the house to get his "tools" that he collects and "fixes" his 4-wheeler. It's pretty much the cutest thing ever watching him work on his bike and then decide it will work again and take off on it.
For Jake's birthday I surprised Jake with a trip to Phoenix to go to a Cubs game! I had also planned on Phoenix because Jake's brother lives there and he hadn't seen him in almost 5 years. We ended up not getting invited to see them like we thought, but his brother did stop for the hotel and say hi for a few minutes. I have two cousins that live in Mesa close by though and they were so excited when we told them we were coming. Sonora, the girl in the middle had a baby 4 days before we got there!! But she was trooper and said she was not going to miss it and we all met up for dinner and had so much fun. These cousins are ones closest to my age on both sides so we've always been the closest. We got home and Jake was already looking at next years schedule to hopefully go to a game with them next time!
We had SO much fun at the game. The Cubs won. It was a sea of blue Cubs fans. Our hotel was full of them, it was so funny. We had a blast and now just can't wait to go to them more often. Between Denver, Phoenix, and LA we have lots of places close by we can hopefully make it to more soon!
Our neighbors got a bunny and the kids are obsessed with it. Especially Lainee. And my fall candle and Apple Cider cleaning supplies that have been on repeat multiple times a day (and mostly dead basil I keep killing and bringing back to life, haha)
Did FHE with some friends from our ward. Which mean we got to ride horses too. The kids were in heaven!
Lainee being silly like she does best and some games with Macie. Wednesday and Friday mornings when Harley is at school and Lainee is napping it is just Macie and Me. We get to read books, play games, and sometimes she just helps with chores. I love it!
There is no fury like that of Macie and Harley if they don't get to hug Emery good bye before she leaves to school . I happened to be standing on the porch when they did it one morning so of course I had to capture it.
We had such a great first month of school and fall. Can't wait for October to come now!
