Just another day...

Just another day for Emery. Trying to stay busy inside...when it's freezing outside.

Lining up all of her bath toys. Then counting 'te, te, TEEE' and pushing each of them off into the tub.

And giving them kisses ;) haha

Cuddling up in her towel afterwards.

Reading books.

Eating apples and watching Dora.

Love those cheeser smiles.

Sharing her apples with Mom.

Walking around with her blanket over her head ;)

Wearing Dad's shoes.

Tasting her first Salt and Vinegar chip. She was a fan.
We are not sad to see February go. March can only bring warmer temperatures and more outside days!

Then bedtime stories with Dad later on. On the floor. haha. We planned on getting a new glider for this baby so we sold our one we bought for Emery so that we didn't have to move it. So we are without a chair until we get into our new house. Oh well, the floor will do for a few weeks.

This isn't from this particular day, but it was still a fun day. We got together with some of my old nursing school/UVRMC 7th floor/Provo friends for lunch and some shopping! We had so much fun. I miss these girls so much so it was really good to finally see them. We just need to do it more often now.

protesting winter with swimming

This morning when we woke up to this....we knew we had to get out. I am soooooo tired of below freezing temps, snow, and being cooped up. And if there is anyone more sick of it than me, it's Emery. We couldn't bear another long day inside. So Jake and I packed up and we headed to Kamas to the Aquatic Center to let Emery swim a little!

Once we got to Kamas we decided to grab some lunch before heading to the pool. Emery loves chips and salsa so we decided on Mexican. Let's be honest though, it's Kamas. We only had one other option ;) haha. But I was really happy with our choice it was delish. Emery just chows down on Chips and Salsa as fast as she can. You'd think it would be too hot, but she takes a drink and keeps on going.

Then we headed to the pool.

Emery thoroughly enjoyed jumping into the pool. She wanted to do it over and over and over again. She loved it.

So happy.

She had so much fun and wore herself right out. After about an hour she was so tired we decided to go. I'm so glad that we decided to go though, it was definitely worth the drive in the blizzard! We'll be going again soon!

Then we came back home to this...argh...just when the snow was melting and I thought we were heading into Spring get this. I am really hoping that it comes soon.

After Emery getting some sleep and some dinner we sat down to a perfect family night complete with a Disney movie and cuddling.

Especially Emery.
Boy does she love to cuddle that doll. She is going to be one good big sister!

enjoying some sunshine

It was a whopping 40 degrees today. With a heat wave like that we could not stay inside! We are getting so tired of being cooped up all day every day. We have been really trying to get out whenever possible, in an effort to stay sane. I am so sick of the cold! But today we headed out for a walk and then eventually ended up at the park. We had to walk through a few inches of snow to get to the actual playground but most of the snow on the playground had melted so we took advantage and played! We had lots of fun.

Oh spring you cannot come soon enough...I am not sure how much more I can handle! Moving to a warm climate sounds better and better every day. I would be very okay with transplanting to Southern Utah right about now!

Valentine's 2013

I'm a little slow on getting this up, but better late than never! We had a great Valentine's Day. Emery is still a little young to understand so I didn't go all out. We did make cookies a few days before and she enjoyed helping with that. I had big plans to make her pink, heart pancakes for breakfast but she woke up in a "mood" and so I ended up just giving her her usual, and very favorite, greek yogurt. We spent the day hanging out, making dinner for dad, and just hanging out. She did enjoy coloring Jake's present though. She is really into coloring right now.
She's pretty good right? haha. I LOVE it.

Dad got home and we let him open his present. Some how he escaped getting his picture taken with it, but it was a big, nice set of router bits. Emery enjoyed reading her card from Jake, we decided against getting her anything to big for Valentine's. She doesn't need treats, and already has massive amounts of stuffed animals and toys of all kids. So we got her a few new outfits and called it good! I did the 14 days of Valentine's for Jake all month also. He really enjoyed that except now we have a house full of chocolate! I sent it all to work with him, except for the treats he got me ;) He also gave me "permission" to buy this diaper bag I have been coveting for a year now. It's been out of stock for months so he couldn't get it, but it's expected back in stock next month! I can't wait. Such a mom.

This is another thing Jake did. He cracks me up sometimes. He made our own little Martinelli's drink for dinner ;)

Here is the only picture I got of his present. I am really excited about it because now it opens up even more projects I can put him to work on around the house! And he loves doing them so it all works out. We decided against fighting with Valentine's Day crowds and stayed in this year for the first time. I liked it! I made Chicken Cordon Bleu with Parmesan Dijon Sauce and it was soooo yummy. Even Emery couldn't get enough of it. For dessert I made a Fried Ice Cream dessert. Emery went to bed not long after dinner. (I am LOVING her new 7:00 bedtime she has given herself...so awesome) We stayed up watching our new Netflix obsession Bones and eating all the chocolate we could stand. It was a perfect night with my sweetie :)
Love you Valentine!
