Mother's Day 2017

I had an absolutely perfect Mother's Day. These kiddos (mostly their dad) spoiled me. Emery filled out that paper and made that cute necklace for me. And bonus we got to talk to Shayli on Skype too! I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a mom, these kids (and their dad) are my whole world and I can't imagine not spending every day chasing them. Even though they make me crazy sometimes!!

Emery's Preschool Graduation 2017

Uhhhhh.....How can it really be that I have not posted since October....I can't believe it!! I kind of can, because I have a million reasons why I have not posted since October...Building our house, being super sick for the first 22 weeks of this pregnancy, and the biggest reason is that I ran out of storage on my computer so I couldn't even put any pictures onto my computer to put on here. But I have been clearing out my computer and am back at it again. And slowly I will make up for the past 7 months!

Emery graduated from her last year of preschool tonight. I cannot believe it is already time to send this girl to Kindergarten. I want to cry every time I think about it, and sometimes I do. I do not know what I am going to do having her gone every.single.day. I have no idea. Even though it is only for a few hours this year, thank goodness, I am dreading it. I know Macie and Harley are not going to love it either. They miss her so much when she is at preschool. I am glad I still have 3 months of having her to myself all day every day before I have to send her. They put on the cutest program tonight and she did so good. Their opening number with those flags up there, God Bless America.

Getting her diploma, as soon as she sat down she turned to her neighbor and yelled, "We graduated Preschool!!!" She was so excited. I love her enthusiasm for everything.

She had many fans to come support her.

Teacher Becky is literally the jackpot of preschool teachers. Emery loves her so much. Macie is all signed up for her preschool next year and cannot wait. She is the best!!

And there we are, off to Kindergarten!
Well while we are on the subject of preschool, I'll throw in her preschool pictures this year while I am at it!

Bear Lake 2016

When I posted about our house yesterday I noticed that I never finished this post about our Bear Lake trip back in August! I think it was because I am going to make a video about the trip...but I haven't gotten around to buying my new laptop yet, and I can't make it until I do...sooooo until then I am just posting this. We love Bear Lake so much, and don't get up there near as often as I would like. Which makes no sense really since we live so close to it, but whatever. We planned a trip for mid August and could not wait. About 2 days before we were supposed to leave though Jake's eye started hurting him. The day we were supposed to leave we ended up at the Instacare, who sent us to the ER (to rule out meningitis again...) where Jake was diagnosed with shingles. We decided I would still take the kids and go on our trip though because we didn't want them around Jake. So the next morning I packed up the crew and we headed out. Our favorite place to stay in Bear Lake is the KOA, it has always been so fun. But recently they have done loads of work and made it even better than ever. These slides were the first place we headed out to. There were 3 slides, from the small one Harley is on below, to the giant one Emery is on that I couldn't fit in the picture.

We spent lots of time riding bikes to these slides and to the playground and bounce pillow! I don't even know how many hours we spent there. Most of the evidence of all of that is in video form though...hence why I wanted to post this with the video...

These two little early risers...they are always dragging me out of bed.

Playing at the Lake. We could spend days here. We've never taken the kids out on boats, to be honest it terrifies me thinking of trying to keep track of these three on a boat. But they are completely content just playing, so we'll stick with it for a while.

Colton and Haley did take them out on their kayak though.

Macie helping Harley cross the road after a game of mini golf. Cutest thing ever. She said, "Hah-ley hold my hand so you don't get smooshed." haha!

And of course, a trip to Bear Lake is NOT complete with a trip to Merlins for burgers (not pictures) or some raspberry shakes. This (secret) place has the BEST shakes in town!!

Until next summer Bear Lake. We miss you already. As we were leaving Macie asked if we could stay at Bear Lake forever because "it is my happy place" I laughed pretty hard. It is my happy place too.

House Updates

I figured it was time for a house update....since it's been a while. I am there every day at least once, but I have been really bad about taking my camera with me! So I am working on it... But here it is all done with the framing! There is one more thing in the back over the stairs that needs to be done, and one window that needs to be moved...but aside from that it's done! HVAC and Plumber are both done, and we have a meeting with the electrician tomorrow so he can start next week. Then we are up for our 4 way inspection!

Emery is pretty excited that the tubs are in. I wanted to go with the white insert for the kids bath A-because they are easy to clean B- because they are super easy to clean. ;)

Fireplace is all in! There is going to be a pretty white mantle, some rocks, and planking all the way up to the ceiling. Window seats with storage on both sides.

Kitchen-cupboards, range, and double ovens against the wall. Island in the middle. And table over by the windows.

Built ins with a TV and shelves will be along that wall...eventually. That is going to be an after we move in project!

Fridge is against that wall, and a desk against the wall in front of the 1/2 bath. Mudroom with lockers over there, and my pantry that I am sooo excited about. 40 sq feet of pure storage. I cannot wait.

The deck.

The office.

Garage...obviously...

Basement! Not all framed...off to the left, Emery and Macie's room, bathroom, and walk in closet. Another bathroom in the middle, and 2 more bedrooms to the right. On the other side of the stairs a big cold storage and my office/exercise room in front of that.

Back in that nook is a kitchette. There were supposed to be doors into the storage room and theater room there...but with the problems we had right in the beginning we had to cut that out, but it's fine.

This is going to be a reading area/playroom for the kids.

It's coming along! The decisions are killing me. There is so much to do, it has been so busy. But it will be worth it! I can't wait for it to be done!!!
