We had a busy, but great Labor Day weekend. I love long weekends, and pretty much any day that Jake is off work. It is so nice to have him home, and to have some help with kids! We started off the weekend a little bit early and met Jake for lunch. Then hung out at his office for a little while. The girls could spend hours making him spin them on his office chair.
The rest of that evening we spent lounging around and then headed to the park to the last movie in the park of the summer! I'm bummed that it's over for the year, but that's okay, we love fall a whole lot. They played Frozen, had bounce houses, and snow cones. It was a lot of fun. My grandma and grandpa and Uncle Mike came up for the weekend too to meet Harley. So after the high school football game (where they were watching Shayli cheer) them and my parents all came over to the park and joined us for the movie.
Saturday we did a little shopping in Ogden and then went to lunch. Sunday we just lounged around after church, went on our usual Sunday walk, and visited.
Monday morning we all went to the Ogden Temple Open House. They closed it a few years ago to do some renovations, and boy did they ever. It doesn't even look like the same building even a little bit. It is absolutely stunning though. One of the most gorgeous temples I've been in. And lucky us, it's "our" temple! Emery loved it as well. She didn't really pay much attention as we walked through the baptistery and the lower levels. But once we got up to the upper levels and walked into the gorgeous brides room, through the instruction rooms, and the celestial room, she could not stop telling us "It is so beautiful in there! It is so wonderful in there!" She loved it as much as we did. I can't wait to be able to go back and do sessions there. It will be so nice to have "our" temple back!
We had a fun weekend, and I am super bummed that it is over! Thank you for coming and visiting us! We'll see you again in a couple weeks!
