Black Island Farms

Yesterday we took Emery to Black Island Farms in Syracuse. We have been so excited to take her but wanted to wait until Matt got here to go. She had so much fun! I am so glad we took her and can't wait to go again next year!

First stop: Where else but the animals?

Next we rode the tire swings. One was a bull and one was a shark. Emery had fun riding with Dad, Uncle Matt, and all by herself!

Next we went to the slides. Uncle Matt taught Emery how to climb the rope. She tried to climb it but only got up about 1 rung...haha. She's not quite strong enough yet. But she got up eventually.

She loved the slides! I don't know how many times she went down this slide, but she went down as many times as she possibly could with any one who would take her down.

Next we went to the BIG slide.

She was NOT happy. It was so high I think she got so scared.

But as soon as she went down, she loved it. We only did this slide twice because she got a little too scared at the top...haha.

We didn't even bother taking her down this slide. She hates being in enclosed areas. She gets scared the tube slides at the park, haha! But Matt and Jake had fun on it, and she had fun cheering for them at the bottom.

After all the slides and playing we went and did the tractor ride.

Corn pit. We may have spent more time in here than we even did on the slides. When we got home and got her in the pajamas she had corn kernels in her diaper. haha. She had so much fun throwing the corn and getting it thrown at her!

Then we tried out the corn maze. We didn't make it very far before giving up. Emery was so tired by this time. It was about 2 hours past her nap time and she kept rubbing her eyes. She was happy, but very tired. She wanted to be carried but she is so heavy now that the easiest thing to do is put her on your shoulders. But when she is on your shoulders for some reason, who knows why, she wants to give you lots of kisses. She will keep leaning down and giving kisses. It's pretty sweet.

More kisses :)

Overall we were please with Black Island Farms. Emery had fun and that's what mattered! Can't wait until next year!
