While the Boys are Away, the Girls will Play

This weekend we had a little girl's weekend getaway. Jake, my Dad, my brother, and uncle went up to the Uintah's to go Elk hunting for the weekend. But obviously since I wasn't there there are zero pictures from that whole trip :) So this is just girls trip pictures! Friday was the Utah State vs BYU football game in Provo so we  girls decided to go down early Friday morning and stop in Salt Lake at City Creek to shop then go to the game and stay in a hotel that night since it was such a late game. Friday was Emery's birthday so we celebrated along the way!

On the morning of Emery's birthday she woke up and I sang her Happy Birthday. She gets so excited every time you sing to her. It's hilarious. 

We went to City Creek and shopped until we dropped. Literally for Emery...She didn't take a nap all day long! It's was 3:30 in the afternoon before she finally crashed. Unfortunately it only lasted about a half hour and she was up and going again! We had her all dressed for the game, and she got so messy at lunch we had to do a outfit change :)  

The Disney store was a big hit. She could've stayed in there all day! They were out of every dress in her size! So sad. I am so excited to get her all of her dress up dresses. 

The original plan was to shop, then go to the hotel and swim until the game started. But since it was 6:00 and all Emery had had was one 30 minute nap and the game would go until midnight, I decided it was better to take a nap instead of swim. After Emery took a nap, and some dinner we headed to the game. It was a good  game! And we won! Which made it even better :) 

The next morning the plan was to eat breakfast and then go swim since we didn't get to the night before, but Emery woke up not feeling too good. So she laid down for another nap and watched some cartoons. Love this sweet girl :)

 This is the infamous Emery scowl. No clue where she learned it. She just started doing it one day a few months ago. It is hilarious.

Sunday morning in between conference sessions Emery and I went outside to wait for Daddy to come home!!

Yay! He's home!

Silly girl was so very happy to see her Daddy. She hadn't seen him for 2 days! We are happy he is home. But boy did we have fun while he was gone!
