My little brother just returned yesterday from serving 2 years in the Canada Toronto Mission. (see here)
We are so glad to have him back!
My cousin Justin left on his mission the same day. It was sad that they missed each other their family and my grandma and grandpa came straight from dropping him off at the MTC to the airport to see Colton.
Emery likes to flip herself upside down while you are holding her. You really have to pay attention...
Here he comes!
Of course he waited to be the last off the plane and take his sweet time...we waited and waited. People kept coming through and saying they are coming! I promise! It was funny.
Emery meeting her first uncle! She liked him instantly. She grabbed his name tag and stuck it right in her mouth. Typical Emery initiation.
So happy to have our family reunited again! :)
My mom made the world's biggest sign I'm pretty sure...
But it turned out good.
After we got finished at the airport we all went out to lunch and did lots and lots of talking, storytelling, and catching up.
We came home and Jake and I had to go to softball for a little while, but then we came back and visited some more. Lots of neighbors, more aunts and uncles, and friends came over to say hi. Finally at about 10 that night the Stake President and Bishop came over to release him. They had my parents bare their testimonies, and asked Colton to give one more lesson and teach us. Then gave him a blessing and released him.
We are so happy that he was able to serve an honorable mission and touch the lives of so many people, but we are so happy that he is home!
Welcome home Colton!!
