Miss Macie 4 months

These measurements were on my home scale and me measuring her with a 2 year old grabbing the tape...so they may or may not be exact ;)

And just got documentation sake as I was trying to weigh Macie, Emery decided she wanted a turn and weighs exactly 25 pounds!

Time is just flying by, a little faster every day. This little sweetie turned 4 months young on Friday! We can't remember what life was like before she was here. She is just growing up way too fast.

 At 4 months Miss Macie:

-is wearing size 2 diapers and fits great in 3-6 month clothes. 

-reaches for her toys and tries to crawl to them. She loves to holds rattles, balls, and anything she can wrap her hands around. She is getting good at holding her own bottle too! 

-She is very giving of her smiles and giggles. But no one can make her giggle like Emery can. Emery doesn't even have to do anything and Macie still thinks she is the funniest person around. Yesterday Emery was walking down some stairs and Macie was watching her and could not stop laughing! I have no idea why she thought that was so funny, but she did!

-Recognizes all of our voices. When she hears one of us talk she instantly turns her head to right where we are. 

-Rolls so well now. She is constantly rolling back and forth from her back to her tummy. She mostly likes to be on her tummy though. If she is ever on her back she automatically goes to her stomach. And then tries to crawl around. She somehow scoots around every where though. She never stays in one spot and we have to keep a close eye on her!

-Likes to hold onto one of your fingers while she nurses or you give her a bottle. 

-The last few weeks she has been an awful sleeper! She slept better at one month that she has for the past couple weeks. She had decided that 3 AM was morning time, and would. not. sleep after that. She gets super tired by about 6:30 in the evening. So we had just been letting her go to bed. She would sleep straight until about 3-3:30 then stay awake! So we decided it was time to bump that bed time back a bit ;) So we've been making her stay up a little later and wa-la! Good sleeper back. She didn't get up until 7:00 this morning! Wahoo!

-She is very ticklish, mostly on her rib cage. She will giggle and giggle. 

-She rubs her eyes when she gets really tired. 

-She can sit up unsupported for just a couple seconds and then she will slowly fall forward. 

-She likes to talk and talk and talk. 

-Started blowing raspberries, last month. It's the cutest thing ever. 

-She has started to show a major interest in "real food". Whenever I am eating anything, she will eye it with a look that just begs me to give her a try. I've let her suck on an apple and take a couple licks off my spoon, but so far that's it. 

-Her hair has lightened up just a little bit from the black she was born with, but is still really dark. And it is still as curly as ever!
