Frightmares

On Wednesday night we wrapped up our Halloween celebrating (aside from Halloween itself obviously) by going to Frightmares! Frightmares is something that Lagoon (local amusement park) does every year. They are open all summer, but then starting the end of September only some the rides are open, the ones that you don't get wet on basically, and the water park is closed. But then they open a bunch of Haunted Houses, straw mazes for the kids, Halloween shows, and stuff like that. It is really fun. So we called up our friends the Childs and they came with us. We had so much fun. Emery was in HEAVEN. She absolutely loved every single ride, and cried whenever we took her off one because she wanted to go again. She would just say it over and over "gen gen gen". Jake and I took turns taking her on rides and watching Macie. The first ride we went on were those cars. She thought it was so cool. Then she went on that whale ride. She is super into whales right now. She loves Finding Nemo with "Dowie" and "Memo". If you have seen the show there is a part where Dorie "speaks whale". So Emery always acts like she is speaking whale. It is hilarious. That is what she is doing in the picture below ;)

Next up were the spaceships. She rode this one probably 4 times. 

Overall this one might have been her favorite. Most all of the kids rides like this have little levers that they can pull to make their little ride go up in the air. On all of the other rides, it was either too hard to pull, or she couldn't reach it. But this one was easy to reach, and easy to pull. So as soon as it would start she would jet up as high in the air as she could and she loved it. I can't believe it didn't scare her, but it didn't. Not even one little bit.

The Tea Cups were another favorite. We went on these twice. Jake got us spinning so fast, and she was so happy. 

Derek and Emily left at about 8:30ish, but Emery wanted to stay and keep going on rides. We took her on about 4 more and she was so tired. By the last one she just laid on my arm the whole time. haha. So we decided to head home. But we did want to go on the Merry go Round right. Macie could ride that, and we wanted her to be able to go on at least one ride! And as you can see by that picture on the right, she was a fan. By this time it was about 9:45 so headed to car and headed home. It was such a fun night!
