Last weekend was the closing weekend of the deer hunt. So of course Jake wanted to go back down to Manti and try to get something. But first off we headed to Provo Friday night for the BYU game.
Our friends Chance came with us, his wife was working so she couldn't come. So it was just him and Kate! Emery had so much fun. She got the "1st down" cheer down, and the march. She had a blast. We played Boise State and beat em! It was a really good game.
After the game we headed to Manti for the weekend. We got in pretty late and headed straight to bed. Bright and early though Jake got up and left hunting and both the girls got up. We started that day off real early. It was so much fun to just hang out at the house with Grandma and Grandpa. Emery absolutely loves them and just bounces back and forth between them. My Uncle Todd and Cousins Tyler, Brianne, and Kylie also come down. Kylie stayed at the house with us while the others were hunting. Emery loves to play with her too. She calls her "Ky-ee". If you know Emery you know she is BUSY BUSY BUSY and Kylie saved me about a million miles. It was awesome.
Around lunch time we got a real hankering for chocolate. My grandma really wanted these Homemade Oreos that I make so I made some of those, but some other people wanted Brownies so we made some of those too. We tried a little experiment and dropped a few treats in with them. Turned out pretty good.
Later that evening once the sun went down we headed outside to play in the leaves and take a few fall pictures of the girls. Macie lasted for like 2 pictures...but Emery had fun just roaming the yard, I followed her with a camera. I'm pretty sure she gets sick of the camera, actually I know she does, she tells me, but oh well. She'll grow out of it ;) Give her a year or two and she'll be posing all over the place!
Unfortunately Jake didn't get anything...But my Uncle Todd did! He got a nice 3 point. There were 8 tags in our family and only 2 got filled. Not too great, but oh well. Next year!!
