Baby Animals

To say Emery likes animals is an understatement... she LOVES animals. Every time we go to Grandma and Grandpas she gets so excited whenever the dog, cats, or horse come around. There are cows in the pasture next to our house and she loves to go out with Dad and just watch them.
Loves it.

When we heard about the Baby Animals Exhibit at This is the Place Monument, we knew we had to take Emery there. So after a baby shower for one of my very best friends, Anna, we were already down there so we figured we'd stop by on our way home. And I'm so glad we did.
She loved it.

First stop was the baby chicks. We could have just gone seen the chicks and left and she would've been happy as could be. (Except for the leaving part). She was so happy she kept petting the tops of their heads just like she does Grandma's baby kitties. She was so happy. When we finally put the chick back and started to move on to the other animals she started crying. She quickly caught on to the fact that there were a lot of other animals to see.
Next, the oxen. She thought these were pretty cool too. She didn't touch them, but she was staring them down the whole time. Her little eyes would follow them wherever they went.
She liked the goats as well. She would pet them. We stayed  with them until she grabbed the little ones ear and yanked it :) We decided to move on before they got too upset :)

I need to start remembering to put my camera on Auto when other people take it to take pictures :) Otherwise I end up blurry without fail. haha. oh well.
I don't know this girl, but the poor thing had a goat trying to eat her shirt. She was so calm. Just sitting there trying to pull her shirt out and asking him to let go. haha. It was pretty funny.
Next were the ponies. She was going to ride one with Jake walking next to her, but she got a little scared of the guy in the red shirt helping her. She decided Dad holding her to just pet the pony was a better idea.

Baby pot bellied pigs are always a hit.
I think my favorite was these cute little lambs. They were very patient with her pulling their wool :) So freaking cute.

She thought the train ride was pretty neat too. She stood up on the side looking out the window the whole time.

Afterwards we went to Grandma's and finished our baby animal day with some baby kitties.
Love them.
And her.
And him.
A perfect Saturday with my little family.
