We had a whirlwind of a weekend. I can't believe it's all over and we're back into another week! It flew by! But it was oh so fun.
Macie, Emery, and I started the weekend off by surprising Dad at work after Macie's doctor appointment on Friday. We all went out to lunch, and Uncle Colton joined us too. On our way there my mom called and said that my Grandma and Grandpa had decided to come up for the weekend too! So as soon as we finished with lunch we headed home to see them and introduce Miss Macie.
She was an instant hit. That little girl is the sweetest I tell you. Such a good baby. And SUCH a cuddler!
Emery started getting ready for the fair next week and stole Shayli's pink cowboy hat. I had meant to go buy her one on Friday...but I got lazy and didn't wanna haul two kids in that store and bagged it for now. The rest of the evening we just spent lounging out on the grass, talking, catching up, and then grilled up some yummy hamburgers for dinner.
A perfect, relaxing Friday night.

The next morning Jake woke up bright and early to run the Morgan Half Marathon again. This is his 3rd year running it. He did better than last year, but a little slower than his first year. He came in 27th overall and 4th in his age group. So he actually did pretty good! His first year he was 2nd in his age group so he is trying to beat that. And beat his time. Emery was super helpful afterwards and refused to walk on her own, and would only be held by Dad...he was a little bit tired though...Then she decided to feed him peanuts while he was stretching ;)
The rest of the day was just spent hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa again! And letting Great-Grandma Kilmer get as much snuggle time with little Macie.
Little Miss Attitude right here.
Later that night was the parade to start off Fair week! Emery is getting to be a big fan of parades.

Yeah they are super creative... ;)

Sunday we took Macie to her first day of church! She did awesome. Hardly made a peep at all the whole time. And she was wide awake the whole time...She just sat on my lap, cuddled up into my arm, and listened to the whole thing. In about the last 5-10 minutes she got a little wiggly, but I gave her her binki, and she calmed right down. We didn't stay for anything after that. Emery was super tired and ready for nap so we headed home. I hate having church right during her nap time. It makes it really hard. Naps for Emery are always at the exact same time. It's funny but really if she stays up even 5 minutes past she gets super grumpy and tired. And will basically just fall asleep where ever she is. She is constantly going, going, going, so she wears herself out ;)
Later that night we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner like usual. Jake wanted to soak in the hot tub after running yesterday to loosen up his legs a little bit. And no one gets in the hot tub without taking Emery with them. She would never allow it ;) A few minutes later it started raining so every one just lounged out in the nice weather watching the rain, and listening to the thunder.
What a great weekend we had. I'm just sad that it had to go by so fast. They always fly by. Oh well though. Until next time! ;)
